It’s past my bedtime but I am dedicated to this 30 day challenge, so here I am. My brain is dead from work and I’m two glasses of wine deep, so don’t expect much.
I just had dinner with one of the runners I coach and her husband. She lives in Texas and is running the LA Marathon this weekend. Most of the runners I coach live out of state so it’s a total treat to meet face to face. This time was no exception. Adrienne is a doll.
We went to Isola, one of my favorite Italian spots for pizza and salads in Little Italy. We drank wine and talked about running and life. Adrienne just got a half marathon PR a few weeks ago (in a tune up race!). That’s a great sign. She’s running faster than she ever thought she could and we all have high hopes for this Sunday’s marathon. My fingers are crossed that the weather cooperates.
I LOVE helping runners to run faster and farther than they thought possible. It seriously makes my heart swell with pride. With some hard work, trust and dedication – boom! Magic happens. I am a huge enforcer of the 80/20 rule and I feel it is my obligation to get people to SLOW THE HELL DOWN (most of the time) to get faster. And it works. Just ask my clients.
The last time I met one of my runners from out of state was in Chicago and we ate pizza. (I’m sensing a theme.) That runner is Sara and she is joining me on this 30 day writing challenge. She finally hit publish on the blog she’s been wanting to start. Check it out here. I adore her. You will too. (Sara got a HUGE marathon PR in Chicago this past October. Go Sara!)
A reader asked me to do a “What I Ate Wednesday” post and I am all about that. I would love for you all to see how much this girl eats. Stay tuned. My eating habits will be tomorrow’s topic. I know you’re SO excited. 😉
Well, that’s as good as it’s going to get today. I am off to bed while Brittany stays up way too late watching Netflix. Is it terrible that I like going to bed alone because I get way better sleep? Weigh in.
