If you’ve been checking in for my daily posts as I undergo a 30 day writing challenge, I apologize. I’ve been MIA much of the week and haven’t posted much of anything. I do this thing where I book my schedule to the point where I don’t get home until after 9pm every night. At that point, I really need to wash up and get ready for bed because I have work in the morning. I had to make the choice – write or rest? I know I am useless if I don’t get enough sleep so I opted for rest.
I made a goal to not make ANY plans this week (except for running and working out). I have to actually challenge myself to make it happen.
So back to my busy last week. On Friday I worked outside all day at a Fit4Mom event. It was great but I ended up with the gnarliest sunburn ever despite putting on sunscreen. It was nice working outside though and I got to run along the bay afterwards. Seeing all those fit mamas made me excited to be a mom someday (hopefully) soon-ish.
On Saturday I had to be up at 4:30 a.m. to co-lead a focus group. You know you love your job when waking up at 4:30 doesn’t feel that terrible. It was actually a great morning.
Later in the day, Brittany and I took a beach walk with Gunner and then got dinner and massages. It was a lovely little Saturday. Today, I ran 10 miles and then came home, made an acai bowl and did some cleaning. Not the most exciting weekend but the kind I like most.
Alright, guys. Sorry for the lame post but it’s time to make some brussels sprouts and I wanted to write SOMETHING today. Even though I’ve failed miserably at writing every day for 30 days, I am still glad I challenged myself because it inspired Sara to start a blog and write every day. She is kind of the best and I hope it turns her into a blogger for life.
